End-to-End Quality of Service Coordination Models for Mobile Networks

چکیده
Providing End-to-End QoS in 4G heterogeneous networks is a challenge due to the involvement of several components like network reservation, service level agreements, charging, contract management and security constraints. A flexible yet efficient protocol framework is required, which can integrate all this functionality. Recently, we proposed the End-to-End Negotiation Protocol (E2ENP) for negotiating and orchestrating QoS on an end-to-end basis both at application and network layer. Based on an flexible XML model extending SDPng concepts, the protocol enables the negotiation of system capabilities. In this paper, we show how third-party service-providers can effectively influence the negotiation process. We also discuss authentication and security features of E2ENP. Improving Quality of Service Routing in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks Using OLSR
Mobile ad hoc networks (MANET) are constructed by mobile nodes without access point. Since MANET has certain constraints, including power shortages, an unstable wireless environment and node mobility, more power-efficient and reliable routing protocols are needed. The OLSR protocol is an optimization of the classical link state algorithm. OLSR introduces an interesting concept, the multipoint r...
متن کاملEnd-User Satisfaction Assessment Approach for efficient Networks Performance Monitoring in Wireless Communication Systems
GSM network performance and service quality evaluation are the most important steps for the mobile operators as the revenue and customer satisfaction is directly related to network performance and quality. Network service satisfaction assessment especially from the end user perspective is necessary to judge the network performance and maintain service quality standards. In this paper, we apprai...
